[edit] Introduction

More than 2500 years ago Buddha has preached many things which explained the state of the universe and age old question of why we are here? Buddhist Abhidhamma[Deep Teachings] explains the state of matter and human mind than any scientist ever did. This article is dedicated to present science behind Buddhism. Most of the time buddha avoided explaing about metaphysical things to lay people at that time because it was very difficult to comprehend. He was mostly focused on the mental development of people, which will ultimately help them to realize the ultimate truth.

The Buddha compared one who keeps asking speculative questions to a man shot by a poisoned arrow, who refuses to remove it till he knows who shot it, how it was shot, from where was it shot... By the time these were answered, he would be dead. Likewise, we are "shot" by the arrow of impending death and constant dissatisfaction, and should never forget our aim of attaining Enlightenment.

[edit] Matter

"Here, Sariputra, form is emptiness and the very emptiness is form; emptiness does not differ from form, form does not differ from emptiness; whatever is form, that is emptiness, whatever is emptiness, that is form, the same is true of feelings, perceptions, impulses and consciousness." --The Heart Sutra.---

In this Buddha explains that matter is closer to emptiness which is found true by modern science. All matter broken in to the smallest part leaves us with nothing but an energy.this is Buddhas version of famous math
